R.E Harvest and Fair Trade

In our exploration of harvest time we have been considering  the inequalities that exist in the sharing of the worlds resources.

We have looked at religious teachings on fairness and found that all major religions command us to care for others.
The UNCRC (Article 24) also states :
"Children have the right to good quality health care, to clean water, nutritious food and a clean environment, so that they will stay healthy. Rich countries should help poorer countries achieve this."

In our discussion about how we can make a difference we decided we could share more by giving to charities but also by supporting FAIR TRADE.

Literacy/Science On The Move

We have been linking science and literacy in our topic "on The Move".
We thought of questions we wanted to answer about bones, muscles and joints.
  1. "Which is the longest bone?"
  2. "How do bones move?"
  3. "Which is the smallest bone?"
  4. "What is inside a bone?"
  5. "What is muscle made of?"
  6. "How do muscles work?"
We used the internet and a variety of information books to find answers.
We presented the information we discovered on attractive wall charts.
